About Me

Hi Everyone! I am Ryan of Expat Ryan. I started this blog to describe my life and experiences as an expatriate (expat) of the USA.  I will use this site as a journal of the new things I find or my experiences living abroad. 

When I first started this blog (in 2014), I lived in Gohyeon, Geoje Island, South Korea.  I moved there in August 2014 to become an English Language Teacher at a local private school.  It has been nearly ten years in Korea, so I decided to revive my blog and look back at my experiences over the past ten years.

I will be mixing some old and new experiences as posts, and providing updates and new understandings where appropriate. Rather than posting with the dates of ten years ago, I will post in the current day and make reference to the original post date with my enlightened perspective.
