My apartment has a pretty good location for things. A vast shopping building called Home Plus is like eight stories. Think of 2 floors of parking, a 2-story Walmart on top of that, a 2-story Macy’s on top of that, a level of offices, and a level of eateries like a steakhouse and other fine dining. Home Plus is about two blocks away. The bay is half a block from my apartment. My school is a 30-minute walk or 15-minute bike ride. I am surrounded by places to eat Korean food, a convenience store, a bike shop, and a bunch of bars, and I am within walking distance of the 5-star Samsung Geoje Resort and Samsung Heavy Industries (The largest shipbuilder in the world). Aside from that, it’s a 10-minute walk to the bus terminal, where you can catch buses everywhere in Korea.
